Family Weekend
September 17-19, 2010
We invite you to join the Greensboro College family for a weekend of entertainment, student performances, athletic events, good food and great company! Parents, grandparents, siblings, spouses, children and other family and friends are invited to be a part of this fall tradition.
The weekend officially kicks off with a student-led Fine Arts Showcase in the Gail Brower Huggins Performance Center in Odell Building, followed by a reception in the Odell lobby. Saturday morning features the annual President’s Brunch on Front Campus, followed by an opportunity to meet some of your student’s faculty. We invite everyone to join us in cheering on the Pride volleyball team on Saturday afternoon. Saturday evening is designed to give families a chance to visit together as they choose. Family Weekend concludes with a chapel service and brunch on Sunday.
If you are planning to arrive at Family Weekend on Friday evening, please come to the Odell lobby between 7 and 8 p.m. to check in and pick up important information about the weekend’s activities, as well as your meal tickets. If you plan to arrive on Saturday morning, please plan to check in at the Lea Center in Main Building between 9:30 and 11:30 a.m.
Please note that as you register for Family Weekend, you do NOT need to include your student in the registration fees or number of guests attending. They will not need tickets to attend meals and events. Also, children younger than 10 do NOT need to be included in the registration fees, though we do ask that you let us know how many children to expect.
Questions and comments can be addressed to Ilona Owens at 336.272.7102, ext. 406.
TO REGISTER: Please print, complete and mail the Family Weekend Registration (PDF) form by Monday, Sept. 13, 2010.
